- I'd definatly avoid them. As compared to the $99 jobbies the
- Hayes modems do ok, but as compared to any other modems in their price
- class their horrible. Hayes modems have been the cause of problems for me
- ever since my first v.34 modem way back last Oct. or so. Fortunatly
- everyone I know who owns Hayes modems is selling (3 out of 4 places I know
- of have since switched to another v.34 modem). I'd recommend that you
- look at something like USR Couriers, high-end Multitechs, AT&T Comspheres
- or possibly Penril modems instead.
